Guys you for got that Eb2 applicant include thos that do not require labor . Also for each labor you would consume 2.3 to 2.5 visa , as with every approved labor there is a spouse and in some cases kids. So to clear 20,000 labor we need 40K visa spilled over to clear all of 2006 plus Eb2 cases that do not require labor

The Problem is isolating EB-2 India from the Perm Approvals.
EB2 were ~ 35% of India approvals between Mar-05 to Oct-05, then it ramped up to ~65% - 70% for most of FY 2006.
Total EB2 IN cases per year 2006 onwards were north of 18,000, which implies at least 40,000 Visas including dependants.
Method: Apply filters for - Approved - India - Level I - bakers, cooks, elementary school teachers etc.
This will slightly overestimate the EB2 IN numbers.
Remember to remove the previous year's applicants as their PD will be the previous year, add them to the prev. year's estimate.

Iam a little skeptical about the AILA comment, If USCIS had "far more than 40,000 AOS applications that are ready to be aproved", why the heck would they make all the dates current.
Some argue that they wanted to gauge the true demand for GC out there. But in order to do that, they would 1st have to accept the application, go over it, acertain the number of beneficiaries involved etc..
Out of all the versions that I have seen floating around, I find this the most plausable, undoubtedly USCIS has a ton of pending applications, but a lot of these are struck in various sub-procceses (Name check etc), since they do not want to waste the visa numbers like last year, they are inviting additional applications so that if nothing else, easiest of cases go through.
Not to say, what AILA is saying cannot happen, 'coz who knows how these things really work. USCIS is this big black hole...

I think there is a certain percantage or number allotted for each quarter to avoid unavailability of visas. Otherwise, there is always the possibility that if enough people are in the pipeline waiting, all visas could be allocated when the Fiscal year begins in Oct which would mean visas could become Unavailable very soon.

Then fight for changing that constitutinality. Who made it? Why did they make it the way the made it? Slavery was supported legally way back.. USA was like that for past 100 years. Many times Protectionist bills were passed and many times they were relaxed in past. There will be impacts but it will not bring down the country just because they block a few thousand H1bs. If USA needs to go down there should be some other alternative country should come up relative to that level. India and china have a potential but nowhere near to that for now as they so much dependent on USA and dollar.

Inform immigration law enforcement authorities about next Amway meeting place and tell them that H1B visa holders are doing illegal work... I am sure we will have some extra visa numbers

After reading so many cold calling failures, I am yet to see a "success story" of this methodology.
If nobody got "converted" after being approached by a total stranger in a public place, why does BWW/Quixstar/Amway continue to do it.
Perhaps we should ask Q/Teddy to collect this data, analyze it and prove to them the futility of it all. Maybe then they will stop and everybody can shop/work/study in peace. :D

LTTE is almost obliterated. Hope, from now on people will not be crude to mask the SL Tamil issue relating with the LTTE.
Whether LTTE is a freedom movement or a terrorist organization, they were the saviors of the SL Tamils, now SL govt has got the free hand to annihilate entire Tamils from Sri Lanka. I don't think even god can save SL Tamils from tyranny and potential modern day holocaust.
How long can any organization survive without the support or backing from any major country? and for the LTTE, it is even worse as there is no land border to escape and fighting an enemy with the ratio of more than 1:20 and who got unlimited supply of arms. Of course LTTE dig their own grave with their attitude, actions and misunderstanding of geo political reality.
I hope and wish that some sanity prevails among the Sinhalese public.

Its just that every time the VB comes out, we get a lot of posts from folks from India/China who want to remove country limits. And they talk about only removing the country limits, as if removing country limits is going to solve the problem.
You scare away ROW when you do that.
Those who talk about only removing the country cap have not thought through the problem carefully. It will only slow everybody down. At the same time only increasing the visa number by say a factor of 2 will not solve the problem either since majority of EB GC are from a few countries.
As paskal, others and I have been saying IV is for all EB GC, and we should look at solutions that help everyone.
