My Birth Certificate is in the Regional Language of the State that I was born in India. The name of my parents are in English and misspelled. please advice what additional supporting documents do I need to submit for filing I-485.

After reading other posts I am inclined ot think may be only SSN Taxes issue can be appropriately presented to Minister. Because if read correctly and other posts here are right, other country citizens in US get their SSN back because of a special treat.
So Retrogression is a problem but can not be represented to Minister due to reasons posted here !

just wanted to share my Finger Printing Experience.
I am july 2nd filer, EB2.
NSC -CSC - NSC case.
Got my FP done today,
however I noticed that on my ASC notice, my SSN has been printed incorrectly.
I called USCIS and made the correction.
I was surprised & furious at the same time, by seeing this mistake from USCIS.
Their system is so bad, they are not even verifying the Name to the corresponding SSN. Had I missed to notice, I would have been stuck either at FBI name check or by a querry from USCIS later for a long long time.
Already the wait is long enough.
Anyways, dont relax just seeing your EADs and APs, watch every detail on whatever they send.

This signature waived is normal because of something having to do with when they scan the card, and if your signature is there, then it could cross the line where the machine scans your card. So I have heard from others online in these posts this is valid since August 1 FOR EVERYONE and your picture is there, so this is not an issue. What I am wondering about is why is this EAD only valid for one year when first it was valid for two years, why have they changed this? And if your i-485 green card case is pending, and you have gotten your i-765 EAD in your hand do they approve your i-485 green card fast? SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND

what is your PD ? Sooner the PD there is a good chance for being 1 year. if your PD is far away or chance of being current is not soon it will be for 2 years.. unless officer erroneously submitted for one year...anyway there is no work around you need to hang on.

Nobody is policing here. This is to inspire some of those 8,394 "mature adults" who made no contribution yet love to surf this site. We are all starting to think that core group is wasting its time if only 212 members out of 8,606 (only 2.4 %) want to support this organization.
Your logic does not really make sense to me. If I contribute X amount, I do so because I believe in IV's cause (which is my cause too) and not because someone else has contributed Y amount.

Dude thats why we started this topic. To see feasibility of living in Canada but working in US. Windsor/Detroit are the 2 cities closest to each other across US/Canada border.
If you can get job in detroit area you can do this. You wont pay any more tax than you would have made with same income in canada.

Laid off 6weeks back. Attended 4 interviews. Outof luck.
I used to get many calls from desi consultants. But not now. I do not know whether it is because of economy or my EAD status.
Here are my excuses to not to get job.
1.New Father (I was little confused about how every thing goes. Thank god no set backs here)
2.Functions(I was occupied to celebrate his 21st day).
3.Taking care of new born( He needs to be feed once in every two hours. Mother got tired of this.)
4.Holiday season.
5.Economy.
6.I am good at supporting my situation :) .
Hopefully I will land some where by Jan Mid.

He will have the H1 status until the expiry date. But only thing he may not be able to transfer H1 if there is no other case is pending.
Youre allowed to stay in H1 status for 6 years. If you want to extend it over 6 years, that extension will be based on the EB petition (you need an LC and approved I-140). If that EB petition is denied and denied again thru appeals (MTRs), you are out of status.

Even if there are any provisions that take effect in Oct 2009, we have to consider the delays due to USCIS backlogs (imagine what CIR will do) and adjudication time. There is really no fun in this lifestyle of uncertainty. This is our chance to make it happen for us. Let each one of us play a key role in deciding our own future. Let's do it.

So why do you care? Do you intend to stay past your 'visa' expiration day in the first place? Good to know though.
The question though is do they use the actual visa expiration date or your status expiration date? Considering the fact that you can have a visa valid for 2 years but still be in status longer than that period.
